How to pay your pharmacy bill

If you’re planning to spend the winter in Australia, there’s one thing you need to know about the Australian pharmacies: they charge high prices.

This year, the average cost of a prescription from a pharmacy in the country will be $1,096.

That’s up 20 per cent from last year.

But the prices aren’t the only things that are out of reach for Australians, and the government isn’t alone in the struggle to keep up with the soaring prices.

Many pharmacies also don’t offer the latest and greatest medication, as they are under pressure to meet the high cost of drugs that have been brought in from overseas.
