Egyptian doctors say the deadly Ebola virus has been eradicated in Egypt

MEDIA in caIRO, Egypt (AP) Egypt’s health ministry says all medical facilities in the country have been disinfected following the end of an eight-day lockdown.

The ministry says hospitals, clinics and pharmacies are safe.

The lockdown ended on Friday.

The health ministry, which was founded after the ouster of Egypt’s first democratically elected leader, has been under strain amid the Ebola outbreak in the West African country.
